Phetch Buncha is Samui's main Muay Thai ring, behind Chaweng: five or six bouts a night, local fighters, a live band for the ram muay, and a crowd that follows the scoring. It is the island's best evening that has nothing to do with a beach.
Cards run on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. Early fights are young local boxers, the main event is usually the imported one. Seats range from ringside to the cheap stands, and the noise is part of the experience.
Fight nights are Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.
Touts sell tickets at a markup along the beach road; buy at the stadium or through a tour that includes the transfer.
