The statue is recent and the site still being built, which means few visitors and no market. A concrete road climbs from the ring road near Na Muang to a car park just below the platform. Morning light is better than afternoon, before the heat haze builds.
The last stretch of road is steep. Go up in the morning, before the haze.
The last few hundred metres are steep; in the rainy season the concrete is slick with run-off.
