The west coast has its own mummified monk, in a temple most visitors never hear about, at the foot of the hills near Taling Ngam. Wat Kiri Wongkaram is quieter than Wat Khunaram and asks nothing of you.
The seated monk is displayed in a glass case in a side pavilion, and the compound behind climbs into the trees. It is on the road between Nathon and the west coast beaches, which makes it a natural stop before a sunset at Taling Ngam or Lipa Noi.
Pair it with the west coast sunset — it is on the way.
Same respect as at Wat Khunaram: it is a body, not an exhibit.
